Next season has started for the Knicks

Three pressing issues facing the Knicks going into the off season. Can Carmelo and Stoudemire find  success together ? Can the Knicks resign Jeremy Lin or find an improved upgrade? Who will be at the coaching helm 2013?

The Knicks season is over gone till November. Camelo will not be holding on to the ball in isolation while Knicks watch him go 1 on 5.  Carmelo can score in this fashion, even  though it hurts and takes away from the overall concept of team.

Not to say Anthony is a selfish player, he truly wants to help his team win but he clearly did more harm then good. If Melo can make the players around him better then the Knicks championship aspiration can become real.
Melo's lack of assist (11 in five playoff games), for a player of his caliber is unacceptable and the coach has to hold him accountable. If the offense runs through him then he must find a way to get his teammates more involved when he's on the floor.

Steve Nash's name will be lobbed around the NY press & Knicks front office till he's signed. So would Nash make the Knicks better?  The answer is no.  A media frenzy as to who's gonna have the ball in crunch time would ensue, and further disrupt chemistry.

Melo is the best closer in the game with more game winning shots then any other active player in the league. Everyone knows he's a big shot taker a big shot maker. But can he pass?

This is where the coach comes in. Woodson will get the coaching job but it is his job to convince  Melo that elite players pass the ball and make teammates better. He can get his points, rebounds. But cn he get more assist? Carmelo Anthony should be close to a triple double every night, he's that talented that will catapult then the Knicks  as one of the eastern conference elite.
